After an Armory Crate update, my ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC Edition (air-cooled) was overwritten with a generic NVIDIA safety VBIOS.
Both Quiet and Performance BIOS chips now show:
BIOS: 98.02.2E.40.E0 / E1
Board ID: “GPU Board”
Max Power Limit: 600 W (locked)
Adjustment Range: –33% to +0%
This has removed the Performance Mode power table, capped my Power Target to 100%, and caused a major loss of performance.
I urgently require the original ASUS Performance OC VBIOS (.rom file) for the ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC Edition (air-cooled, 32GB) so I can restore proper function.
Card identifiers:
Model: ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC Edition (air-cooled)
Device ID: 10DE 2885
Subsystem ID: 1043 9683
Current BIOS versions: 98.02.2E.40.E0 and 98.02.2E.40.E1
Build Date of overwritten BIOS: 2025-03-18
Please provide the original Quiet Mode and Performance Mode BIOS images so I can safely restore the correct firmware via nvflash.
Thank you.

Unsure. Just kept it up to date using armory crate. But it has been locked at 100% power with no ability to increase since I can remember.

just want to add that I have near the exact same issue as OP and I've been waiting almost 2 weeks now and every time I talk to support I get told "it's been elevated, please wait 1-2 business days". Pretty disappointing.

Can you use GPU-Z and export the BIOS that's currently on the GPU for me so I can take a look?
I've attached the Perf BIOS here. You can download the latest Quiet BIOS from the support site

I actually have both Q and P vbios saved but I can't actually see how to upload here. Can do code, picture, video but no 'file'.

Hey sorry for late reply i was away.
I can't see a file or link you mentioned in this message.
Here is my exported bios: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9j9s2hhtrfwg0z7vzpc6i/GB202.rom?rlkey=1jhhvyfgr5hvw0gap0hkj45q6&st=hf...
I've also reinstalled windows for a separate reason and it still did not help.
