980 Strix install question

hello hello,
Im a novice so please excuse the dumb question.
I see I have 2 PCIE power cables I need to put in.
My power supply

Has 1 cord with both heads on it that do fit. Do I use that or does it have to be 2 seperate cables comming in to the video card from the PSU ?

you can use that 1 cord without any probs the psu will deliver sufficient power to the card over it ^^

It's a matter of preference. Some use a single cable, others use two separate cables. Personally, I use 2 separate cables for mines.

I think I can understand why, reliability?
I have that option as well I think, just leave the 2 wire split piece off ?
