So i upgraded from 2 7770's with plans to sli two asus 660's.
my question is, when is it necessary to overclock the memory? i hit 1200mhz core pretty nicely and stable at 1.1v (max temp 56c @ 50% fan), however i noticed with heaven 3.0 that i was hitting some kind of wall... At 1151mhz/1.037v there were no problems whatsover, but at 1200mhz i get a lower score - 200points less in fact which is significant for heaven. I also noticed min/max fps decreased. i am thinking maybe it is a must to overclock the memory component after increasing core speed that much... yet i don't remember this happening with the gtx580.
