Hi there,
Could I please get some clarity on which BIOS I'm currently running?
In GPUTweak, this is what I'm currently seeing. The physical BIOS switch is NOT in the default position. Is this the quiet mode or the performance mode?
Additionally, in the BIOS Update Tool, it would be amazing if we can match the "New Quiet Mode" BIOS version number to what is showing in GPU-Z to give users assurance as to a successful update.

Hi @Aevi
The Quiet BIOS is right position. By default, currently cards ship on Performance BIOS

Thanks for that, I'm unsure as the non-default BIOS seems to run quieter but hotter than previous the default BIOS (indicative of the quiet BIOS).
Is there a way to make sure by checking the BIOS version number as seen in GPU-Z? Are you able to confirm the BIOS version number of the "New Quiet Mode" available for download in the BIOS & firmware section of the 5090 Astral home page?
Appreciate your help.

@Silent_Scone keen to get some help, my Astral would randomly (not during heavy load) go blackscreen, the fans would go up to 100%. I'm pretty confident that this isn't a power delivery issue as I've collected quite a few pre-crash logs, there were no clear signs of voltage drops or instability in power delivery.

Hi @Aevi the only time I've received black screen events much like the behaviour you describe is when doing XOC. I would suggest it's possibly a power issue. Run the card in Silent Mode and via GPU Tweak, and see if the issue persists (80% PT)

Thanks @Silent_Scone
I'm not super confident that it's a power issue because this problem happens mostly at idle. I've actually never had it happen during load. Can you check what the new Silent Mode BIOS version number is?

Have the same issue:

Let's talk about - I have some new clues to solve the issue.

Hey mate,
My crash behavior is identical. I have a couple of suspects:
To gather some info: @danielrodrigo are you able to confirm your VBIOS version number, NVIDIA driver version, and Windows build?
Do you have any custom voltage curve or power limits applied?
Do you have HWinfo, MSI Afterburner, GPUTweak, NVIDIA App or anything like that installed when the crash happens?

You’re almost there! Switching the BIOS mode should be easy now!
