Hi all, I have a ROG Strix GF RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB GDDR6X OC and my PSU is a Corsair RM850X Gold. The adapter cable has 3 PCIe female connectors but my PSU only has two PCIe 8 pin connectors available.
Can I run it with 2 connectors or should I use what I think is a daisy chain and plug one cable to 2 of the adapters connectors?
(weirdly, there are two Sata/Pata 8 pin connections on the PSu, but I understand they shouldn’t be used for the PCIe)
My MB is an Asus Rog Strix Z790 E wifi II with an i7 14700k.
cheers

Hello Marcelo ,
Thank you for your patience. You can utilize any of the 8-pin ports on the rear of the Power Supply for your CPU or PCIe cables this will not impact performance and are designed for those two cable types. Please feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions.

Hi @Cegboy
Yes, you need to connect all three. Corsair offer a range of modular cables.

Thanks. So I can actually use one PCIe outlet with 2 cables?
the signage on the PSU is rather confusing though. I do wonder if those 8 pin outlets next to SATA/PATA 6 pins can’t be used

Correct. Two PCIE 8-pin connectors using the Corsair cable linked is supported.

Hi @Cegboy
This would mean you are only utilising one ESP12V for the CPU, so bear that in mind. Assuming you're running the CPU at stock, it should be sufficient.
