4060 ti flicker

I recently put a system together using:

Windows 11 pro

Asus DUAL 4060 ti paired with ROG STRIX z790-H gaming motherboard.

Monitor is Samsung G5 34" utilizing display port.

I will start to see bursts of horizontal flicker that worsen as time goes on.  Resolves after powering down pc, not by reset.

Hi,

First thing would be to replace the cable, or see if the issue persist over HDMI also. 
You can also try lowering the refresh rate to see if this helps. If it does, the cable is likely going to be the route cause.

I was away from my computer for awhile.  It was working well with existing cord so I didn't make any changes and tonight the flicker returned.  I used a different DisplayPort cable and flicker did not resolve.  Switched to HDMI and flicker went away.  

I'm happy with that but why might there be an issue with display port?
