3080 Srix O10G drops to 0 Voltage?

Hello,

Since i have the Card i get random blackscreens.

the GPU Voltage drops to zero 0 and the Base Mhz too 0.

is the normal ? i think not so...

Mainboard is a z370 PSU is bequiet 1000W and i use 2x DisplayPoert on the card. Card have the newest Bios...

I would like to ask you if you have found a solution, I have the same problem you showed.
The only solution I found is to set max performance in the Nvidia panel ( Manage 3D Setting > Global Setting ), so however the frequency of the video card in idle remains high (about 1850 Mhz) not an ideal solution.
Can I ask if you also have a triple monitor setup ?

Are the black screens in sync with those readings?

What is the system doing when the system loses signal?

Can you check in GPU Tweak? I would first assume it was a polling error. Try not to run multiple tools polling the device at the same time, as this can cause erroneous readings such as this.

Hi Thanks for your attention,

I am only using Aida64 for reading information and I have no other software doing this together but I have tried others and I get the same situation.
I have also reduced the reading interval but the result remains the same.
To explain better, what happens is a continuous oscillation of the GPU Core Voltage between 0 and a higher value in idle (it happens only in idle in game I have no crash) this leads to a random block of the system, blackscreen screens and is not possible recover the signal, I am forced to force restart the PC by the key.
This problem does not occur by changing Manage 3D Setting> Global Setting - Max performance, this however keeps the GPU at around 1850Mhz in indle and GPU Core Voltage at around 0.900V.
Previously I used an RTX 2080Ti and I did not have this problem, the only difference is the RTX 3090 the rest is all the same (I have tried all the Nvidia drivers available and every time I replace one I do it with DDU to eliminate all traces of the previous one).
I also tried a fresh install of Windows (on another SSD) and I get the same problem.
I have read about others who have this problem, not sure if this is a bad driver, bios or card problem. My hope is that Asus can replicate this problem and find a solution or ask Nvidia for a solution.

Same issue with 0 voltage.

I noticed the other day that my 3090 strix also was reporting 0 voltage in hwinfo when idle. but I quickly put it down simply a erro in the reporting. I cross checked it against other applications and they showed the real voltage. I think its a harmless sensor or display bug in various monitoring software, that likely will get corrected with updated versions of those programs.

Make sure you are running the latest version of all software. I have never had msi afterburner show 0v...but make sure you are running the latest beta version of Afterburner. You can get it at www.guru3d.com.

EDIT: A new version has just dropped of HWINFO. Might be worth checking to see if it has improved on this issue. I notice in the update notes it has added support to monitor GDDR6x Memory on RTX30 GPU's now. Get the latest version: https://www.hwinfo.com/version-history/

i use the 3080 on a Z370 MSI Pro Carbon with a 9900k

the Z370 will not support the 3070/80/90... and not support DDR6X

i hope this is the issue with the blackscreens... i reply on weekend.

The Card is only stable on High Performance...
