ASUS Launches "ROG Phone 8" in Japan with Mobile Wallet Support - A Gaming Smartphone for Work and Daily Use
Taiwanese PC and smartphone manufacturer ASUS announced the release of its new smartphone series, "ROG Phone 8," in Japan on May 15th.
Primarily, the series consists of two models: "ROG Phone 8" and "ROG Phone 8 Pro." However, the 8 Pro model, which comes with high specifications, is available in limited quantities and includes a dedicated cooling module as part of the "ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition."
The release date for both models is set for May 17th, with the following direct sales prices (tax included):
ROG Phone 8: ¥159,800
ROG Phone 8 Pro: ¥179,800
ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition: ¥219,800
The ROG Phone 8 has been enhanced with practical features such as compatibility with electronic money and international brand touch payments available in stores, making it the first in the series to do so.
