Crosshair Formula + Raidr express

i am posting this cause it seems that tech support can not figure it out how to get my raidr express to boot when in UEFI mode my mother board is updated to the latetes firmware and the same for the raidr express both the bios and UEFI the problem is not installing it but getting it to boot after UEFI install in windows 8.1 they are all fresh installs so during the install the hard drives can bee seen and installed to but upon reboot it will only boot to the cd i have to swtich from the UEFI mode to the bios Mode to complete the install under all the checks i have done windows it booting in UEFI mode and the UEFI partions are there i have also installed Ubuntu in UEFI mode and Arch Linux both in UEFI but every time i switch to the UEFI mode on the Raidr express the hard drive can not been seen at all and it trys to boot to Cdrom or USB device you guys talk about secure boot and other options in the BIOS but my BIOS is lacking thos options i am running on my motherboard 170X i can not remember what number it is at this time but when i called last to tech support they said that they were going to have a technicition Build the system i had and would get back to me in 2 hours well that never happend if you need any more info like case numbers i will get them for you but i am at a loss as to how to get it to boot when the switch is switched in UEFI mode and yes the UEFI light does come on the raidr express board any help would be greatful and as i am a working 50 Hours plus i will get back to you as soon as i can.

i all so spent over 5 to 7 hours with the tech support trying to figure it out and i was bumped up the two different people in the process

oh crap i for got to tell you guys what Crosshair board i am useing it is the crosshair Formula V Board not the thunder board

Hello

I don't think you can install/boot as UEFI as the board does not have the necessary options. To do so will require the Formula-Z. Choosing your install device with the UEFI prefix only allows for a GPT format install not a UEFI install.
