Got the new computer up and running today. Running a 285k in the maximus extreme as the title says. Running corsair dominator platinum 7200mhz ram, but none of the xmp profiles will boot. I did see a youtube video where Jay said that he was having issues with different brands of ram. Is this something likely to be fixed in a bios update?
The other issue I am having is in the bios it only gives me the option for my nvme (crucial T705) to run at gen 4 speeds. It's in the slot with the cooler on top of it, and the manual confirms this is a gen 5 slot so why is there no option? It's running far slower then it should be which is what led me to check.

Check your ram slots, mine was in the wrong ones. Make sure your in A2 B2

Found my issue. Had my ram in A1 B1 instead of A2 B2. Swapped it over and it XMP'd straight away.
I still dont understand why the mobo isn't showing a gen 5 option for NVME though

Just posting again, the motherboard is now showing a gen 5 option for the ssd and its working as expected. But now my old samsung NVME has just dropped out and is no longer showing as there.

I moved my NVME from M2.2 to M2.6 solved the issue with GPU running at x8 so all i have populated is M.2.1/5/6 so M.2.2 seems to effect the speed of the PCIE bus.

That's strange. The product specs only state the following: M.2_3 & M.2_4 share bandwidth with PCIEX16(G5)_2. When M.2_3 is enabled, PCIEX16(G5)_1 will run x8 & PCIEX16(G5)_2 will run x4. When M.2_3 & M.2_4 are enabled, PCIEX16(G5)_1 will run x8 & PCIEX16(G5)_2 will disabled.

Which Samsung model is that? And did you get it to work again?

Is RGB working on your ram? RGB is not working at all for my Corsair Dominator Platinum. They aren't even showing up in ICUE on my Z890 build.

There is a switch on the motherboard that setups the PCIE bifurcation. Also in the BIOS under advanced you can select the gen type (gen5 for the T705) from a drop down, be sure to have the nvme in the right slot.
