Hey everyone. I picked up the new Samsung 9100 4tb ssd (pcie5) running in slot m2_1. I’m running the latest firmware, intel 285k chip etc. The reviews online are usually getting the advertised 14800 read/write speeds, but mine are topping out at 11800 or so. I have changed the PCIE setting from “auto” to “gen5” even and it didn’t help. I moved it to the m2_3 slot and the speed improved very slightly but also downgrades my video card from x16 to x8. Looking for some advice here as something is certainly odd! Too many reviews are nailing these advertised speeds on crystal mark. Thanks!

Thanks, pls do! I used crystalmark as my basis..Samsung's magician is always even lower than that!

Any luck? I have the 4tb but I may not get my pc up and running until after my return window closes.
Did you have a different pcie 5 drive installed to m.2_1 prior to this? Have you used any cloning software?

Thanks for the reply! Odd that others are getting the full 14800 read/write that I am seeing!!! Are you running your OS on the 9100?

Yes, just reinstalled W11 24H2 on M.2_1
It might even be updating things in the background, thus a bit worse read.
Will rerun tests later
