I have an Asus X870 TUF Gaming Plus motherboard running a 9900X CPU. I bought a Corsair 2*32 6000CL30 RAM kit for it, but it's not compatible. It throws MemTest 86 errors when running at the advertised speed. This RAM is not on the QVL.
Corsair has offered to exchange the RAM with one of two kits. One is a 6600CL32 "Intel Optimized" kit, but is XMP only. The other is a 5600CL36 "AMD Optimized" EXPO kit. The Intel Optimized kit is technically a bit faster, but I care more about compatibility and stability. Both kits are on the QVL. Both kits, and the incompatible kit, use SK Hynix chips.
The specifications on that motherboard do not mention XMP compatibility. I do not want to have to tinker with settings to get my RAM stable.
What RAM should I choose, and why?
