Hey,
got a new System and everything [except of deactivating the iGPU cause of issues with Win11 24H2] worked fine.
SystemSpecs:
Rog Strix Z890-F Gaming WIFI
Intel Core Ultra 9 285k
Corsair, DIMM 96 GB DDR5-5600 (4x 24 GB) Quad-Kit - CMH96GX5M4B5600C40
RTX 3080FE
Tried the new BIOS Updates [0806 and 0902] and after these updates my RAM stops working, get a black screen after boot and the orange QLED lighting. Only way to get it back to work is to flash the BIOS back to the first release version [0503]
A full PAssMark MemTest, with alls RAM Sticks inserted on BIOS version 0503 returns no error also the XMP Profile works fine.
I tried several things, its possible to boot with the new BIOS versions [0806 and 0902] with only 2 RAM Sticks inserted instead of 4, but thats no solution, need every MB of RAM in my workstation.
Changlog for BIOS Version 0806 included this statement:
4.Fixed compatibility issue with high-capacity DIMMs
For me it seems to do the opposite 😕
Please help,
Kind regards
Chris

Asus has posted a new bios version for Intel Z890, version 1002. I've installed it and everything works fine so far.
This is for Asus ROG STRIX Z890-E Gaming Wifi. Hopefully the new bios version will be available for other Z890 boards asap.
All 4 sticks of RAM 128GB is detected as it should and Windows 11 boots up fine with XMP I profile loaded so my RAM is running at 5200.
Have a nice day

Hi everyone, I have 2 big problems, I finished installing the Asus Z890 Hero motherboard, the m.2 unit is very slow, I did the benchmarks, usually it goes at 7200 MB, now it goes at 540 MB peak, there it took 40 minutes to install windows from the pendriver, the bios is updated to the latest version, another problem at startup, the white LED stays on and it won't boot, I do the reset and it starts, thanks to everyone who will help me

Hi alex65
After you reset your bios or updated bios did you Load Default Optimized bios settings in Advanced Mode under Exit menu?
The stuck white led on the motherboard indicates there is something wrong with the gpu.
Have you disable the internal gpu in bios? You can disable the intenal gpu in bios in Advanced mode, Advanced, System Agent (SA) Configuration, there you disable the internal gpu in Graphics Configuration.
I you are not using RAID disable it if it's enabled. You disable RAID in bios Advanced mode, Advanced, System Agent (SA) Configuration, there you disable RAID in WMD setup menu. ***Too be safe only change this setting before you install Windows*** since it can in some cases mess up the Windows installation.
Have you installed the chipset drives on Asus website for your Motherboard after you installed Windows?

Hey good news so far,
just installed the new BIOS version 1002 and everything now works like a charm.
My RAM kit is detected [4x24GB] and the XMP profile is also functional:
Corsair, DIMM 96 GB DDR5-5600 (4x 24 GB) Quad-Kit - CMH96GX5M4B5600C40
And finally its possible to use the iGPU for media encoding [Intel QuickSync]
Have a nice weekend [hopefully without a BlueScreen :)]

After a few hours of using version 1002 on my Z890 Hero, I can confirm that all my stability issues seem to have been resolved. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it remains stable over a longer period, but there’s definitely a noticeable improvement!
Thanks for the update and fixes!

Yes, 4 RAM sticks work again for me with version 1002. But unfortunately I still can't activate XMP. The system always gets stuck with code 62. Without XMP - everything is fine.

Hello Knusper
According to Asus website for RAM compatibility https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z890-e-gaming-wifi/helpdesk_qvl_memory/ for Asus ROG Strix Z890-E Gaming Wifi these RAM modules G.Skill 4x32GB are not compatible with this board.

yes, I have already seen that these are not officially supported. This was the case in my last configuration and it still worked. I was hoping that maybe it would work this time too. I thought maybe someone else had an idea. Otherwise I'll just wait for new bios versions and then try again.
