rog maximus z890 hero fan speed is too high

A few monts ago I had a windfall of cash and so I splurged on a Origin pc with water cooling its mostly corsair parts but the MB is a rog maximus z890 hero.

Now everything worked great until a few days ago when the mouse pointer was jumpy so I updated Logitec and did a reboot

had no mouse and the computer started flashing red, saw the temps were going up fast.  so I powered down then called Origin who said crate it up send it back.  wasnt happy with that im a disabled veteran and my left arm/hand doenst work to well.  plue this thing is heavy.

Ordered a wired mouse, when it arived i was able to move around in the bios (before this i was having trouble tabing from feild to feild.)

I got the system to boot and went to my Icue and saw that it wanted to do a update (it also reported that my pump wasnt working)

after reboot the system came on with fans at 100% but now the cpu is at 25C for last two hours) and the coolant is at 23C its been stable, but nothing i seem to do will change the fans back to its normal whisper quiet mode.  used to be they would come on for a few seconds then shut off because I dont over clock or really put this computer through its paces, mostly am online helping other Veterans.

would love some one to walk me through getting this thing back to its normal state because i have pretty much given up on Origins tech support.

So apparently on my machine the bios doesn’t hold any setting for the fans as they are not connected to the motherboard but instead to the I cue Link hub. In other words, it is all handled through i cue.

Once I learned that, and because the whole start of this was because of a update I did to some other software (that shouldn’t have been an issue but somehow was) followed by a update to ICUE to get it cooling again.
I did the following

Performed a full system power cycle
Shut down the PC, then turned off the power supply switch on the back.
Press and held the PC's power button for about 10 seconds to drain any residual power.
Turned the power supply back on and started the PC again.
 Forced a firmware update
Opened i CUE and went to the settings for my device.
Click the "Update" option for the AIO cooler.
Selected the three dots (...) and choose Force Update to hope the firmware was reinstalled correctly.

And now I think its working not entirely sure what the ICUE settings used to be but at least the fans are no longer at maximum

What speed is the pump running at?

Also check your fan settings in iCUE. The iCUE update might have changed something.

no clue i went into icue and set it to quiet but the fans are all pegged to 4300rpm

im sure there is something set wrong somewhere but i lack the knowledge or skill to figure it out

The 4300 RPM is likely the pump speed, not the fan speed.

If the fan speed is also displayed as such, the iCUE Link System Hub might be faulty.

If you don't have much hardware knowledge yourself, you should find a friend nearby and check it out in person.

That's better than just trying to fix things yourself.

its been stable for 8 hours now but all fans are stuck on highits been stable for 8 hours now but all fans are stuck on highi feel confidant in my ability to make changes if directed by someone else who knows what they are doing.  at this time i still feel that i must of reset the bios settings to the defaults when my mouse wasnt working.  Its likely a matter of restoring it to whatever they used to be.  a bit annoyed that Origin hasnt been willing to help other than say ship it back.    I really appricate your input/help

i will put my spoon here. that numbers on the board on the video is the temp. can be disable in bios. they are not errors on icue on asus board.

contact corsair/origin pc.

I thought it might be the case.  super frustrated though i cant figure out how to get this ****** thing to stop running at max fan speeds used to be they would come on for a moment or two then stop.  now its 100% all the time every fan and the noise is making me irritable to the extent id like to pick it up and throw it against a wall.  asus tech isnt helping Orion tech support isnt helping and various online support groups are just LOL at me because i bought a Origin machine instead of building it myself

Users can be mean some time. Origin pc is one of the best boutiques out there. with the best service. give them a call. and more when imagees show as it is something they can check. is part of the things you buy is the support 24/7. if i was on the us and need a pc they where the first option. so please call them direct
