Hi all,
i am having issues with the following combination that is behaving erratic when it comes to HDMI-Output on various monitors. DisplayPort works fine. Here's the setup:
Intel Core Ultra 5 225 (yes, without F)
ASUS Prime B860-Plus WIFI on Bios 1001 (most recent). This mainboard has 1x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort
no dedicated GPU. The resolution used on all monitors is 1920x1080@60Hz.
[EDIT for more background]: Installed on the board are two (2x) Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1TB SSDs (PCIe 4.0). One SATA-Port is occupied by an optical drive.
The system sometimes POSTs or doesnt, when only HDMI is connected. The system POSTs just fine when monitors are connected by DisplayPort. Several monitors where tested. The cables are known "good". Later, when the system boots into Windows 11 (newest Intel Graphics drivers) a second monitor on HDMI ist detected but cannot switch to it and use it as a dual monitor setup.
Everything including my gut feeling points to a BIOS/Software related issue and not a hardware issue as the system CAN run for hours on single HDMI connection, but not all the time or when the system lost power for a while. The system instantly POSTs if DP is used.
Any ideas?
