Hello everyone,
This is my second PC build in the past ten years, and I've always wanted an all-Asus setup. I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase a bundle from Newegg. Here are my specifications:
- **Motherboard:** ROG MAXIMUS HERO Z890
- **BIOS Version:** 1901 (Type: UEFI)
- **Processor:** Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 285K Series (24 CPUs), ~3.7GHz
- **RAM:** G.SKILL Trident Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6400
- **Internal SSD:** Samsung 4TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 Internal Solid State Drive, with sequential read speeds up to 7,450 MB/s
- **Graphics Card:** ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 O32G GAMING
- **Cooler:** ROG RYUJIN
- **Power Supply Unit:** ROG STRIX 1200G AURA GAMING
- **Case:** ROG Strix Helios
- **Monitor:** ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM
I know it may seem like an expensive purchase, but life is short, and I've spent money on less worthwhile things, haha. I'm posting here because I'm not really an expert and would like to know the best BIOS settings to use for this build.
Currently, I'm experiencing game crashes only with Unreal Engine titles on Game Pass PC and Steam. I've undervolted my CPU and GPU, but I still encounter fatal errors with "Expedition 33" and "Oblivion Remastered" (Game Pass PC). Another game that crashes on Steam is "Dune Awakening." I've updated all drivers, reduced the number of active cores, and I don't have any mods installed. All other games, including those on Game Pass PC, run fine, and all hardware checks and stress tests have passed.
I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing similar issues. I've heard that the motherboard may still have compatibility issues with my CPU and GPU. This is my first post, and I hope it's okay to ask for help here.
Thank you!
