I just saw a new "ME Update" tool posted at the helpdesk. That should provide the latest driver. No? Or is it just updating to the ME itself - which anway is already done together with BIOS 1601?

I always get the latest drivers from MoKichU's thread. Motherboard makers are usually two releases behind.

I just check this out: I think all Intel drivers there are outdadet. The latest ME and drivers are from December 2024.

Those are the actual driver creation dates, not the dates they were posted by Asus, etc. Unpack the drivers posted by Asus months later and you'll find the same exact driver files.

Ok, but where is at that site the updated ME driver, which apparantly has not been posted by Asus yet?

On the website for the Extreme the latest ME is March 20, here is the direct link

link https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/MEUpdateTool/MEUpdateTool_19.0.5.1948_T.zip?model=ROG%20MAXIMU...

This is the general US website where I see the link

I had an issue earlier this month where a new file was visible to others but not to me at first, maybe this is the case for you as well here?

Thanks, I had seen this already posted for APEX.  However, I am confused. The  ME version mentioned in the tool description is already included in BIOS 1602. So what is this tool updating then? And anyway I was looking for the updated ME "driver" that  somebody mentioned as additionally availlable but not yet posted.

BTW: GSkill immediately responded and advised RMA. After I requested RMA via their form, I got an RMA number.  This is very good after service!  I am still hesitating though. My kit is running at 8600. The new kit might be worse. 😎

Intel ME v19.0.5.1948 is already packaged with bios v1602. There's no need to run the ME Update tool v19.0.5.1948.
