Anyone using the Z890 ProArt with the 285K CPU? I just want to know if the board is stable. I built my system a few days ago, and my PC is very unstable, randomly crashing a lot. I'm using the default BIOS settings, and I've run stress tests dozens of times with no throttling or temperatures exceeding 80°C (176°F). I'm using the iGPU.
The motherboard and processor are new, but I'm using my old Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5600 C36 RAM (which is compatible and listed in the compatibility list). In my previous system (Z690, 13900KS), I never had any crashes.
A bit more technical: it was crashing in mscorsvw.exe, and when I stopped that in Task Scheduler, then dwm.exe started to crash.
I've tried all the latest and old BIOS versions (from 1203 down to 0806).
Additionally, AIDA64's GPGPU benchmark mostly fails on this board, usually during the memory read test or other parts of the benchmark. Cinebench also fails mostly in the single-core benchmark.
Anyone? not sure what to return, board or processor??

I've been running it for about a week now. Asus Proart Z890, Core 9 Ultra, GSkilll DDR5. The only issues I've had so far is my audio comes and go. I have a Focusrite Clarette+ and of course the built in Realtek sound, and both will either not work, or stop working while listening to music. I haven't figured out why yet. Everything else has been rather OK. 🙂

I haven’t connected speakers to it yet since I’m not using it as my main PC, so I’m not entirely sure about the audio performance. You might want to try the new 1302 firmware.
By the way, have you tried AIDA64’s GPGPU Benchmark (GPU on iGPU)? It fails almost every time—typically during the Memory Read Test (the first GPU test) or occasionally in other parts of the benchmark.
I tried 2 other DDR5 and same problem, so problem is not RAM

Hey I just wanted to say that I was having similar problems BSOD on mscorsw/285K/ASUS Mobo/corsair ram.
It seems like I have fixed the problem so I am sharing what I did here:
1. Install the new 1401 BIOS
2. Reset all BIOS settings
3. Turn off Intel Graphics and ASUS DriverHub is BIOS
4. Reinstall Win11 24H2 (Make sure to click the "I agree to not migrate settings and files" checkbox)
5. Install all the ASUS MOBO drivers except the intel VGA one and the armory crate one
Edit:
Nevermind, the BSODs are still happenning. I have completely replaced the RAM so my bet is either the ASUS bios, intel microcode or Win 11 has a software bug.

I have had some problems with a Hero board. If you run the command below, it will create a graph on your desktop. You may be able to glean so information if you click on the problem days.
perfmon /rel
In my case, it seems to be related to a USB hub or/and Armory Crate.
