Has anyone tested it yet?
Is it good?

Did Asus fix Windows Power profiles? I mean extreme CPU throttling issue in Windows 10 after C1E state are enforced.

Also encountered this issue on the PRIME Z690-P D4, hopefully, it will be fixed in the next update.

As of 3/10/25, is 2801 stable ?
I have a z790 Maximus extreme I’ve been saving for a build , still factory settings.

Can anyone recommend a bios version ?

windows 11,i9 14900ks

What's your issue?

which bios to install , 2801 seems problematic

Hi, Where can I find the C1E in bios?

Or how to disable C1E in bios?

It is a separate option in BIOS, I don't recall exactly on which tab right now. It is called Enhanced C-states. Your BIOS probably has a Search option feature, try to use it.

Enhanced C-states [Disabled]
CPU C-states [Auto]

There was a time when you could buy a motherboard, buy a processor, buy a kit of ram listed on the compatible ram sheet and KNOW your system would work at least on default settings. Buying an asus z790 dark hero, a 12th gen i9, and a 64gb kit of ddr5 has produced the absolute worst pc experience in my life after building for myself, building for family, building for friends, building for tech companies. I can't even update the bios on this garbage without intervening and restarting the computer DURING the memory bank rewrites. This is absolutely ridiculous for a product a year plus old, how do I get my fn money back!?

Hi @BruDe

Are you trying to say memory training is failing after applying XMP? That's the only way I can interpret what you're saying that makes sense. If you're trying to say the UEFI update is failing, this has no direct correlation to DRAM memory banks.

I download bios updates. Go into bios. Update. Computer restarts to clear bios memory banks and flash updates. Once a bank is updated, the computer restarts. Code 55. Failure to post. Hard restart. Code 55. Failure to post. Hard restart. Successful boot. Next bank is cleared and updated. Computer restarts. Code 55. Failure to boot. Etc. Until finally windows boots 35 minutes later. Great.

Also, why aren't bios updates listed in armoury crate? Also, why is armoury crate's device drivers list out of date even to the drivers listed on the asus support downloads page? Asus is the epitome of failing from grace. I don't even understand why I try anymore.
