Z790 Maximus Dark Hero "red" 10Gbs ports not working

I have an issue with all the 10 Gbs ports on this motherboard (4 x red USB A and 1 x USB C)  . They work but they will not maintain a reliable connection to my phone, a scanner or an external SSD  making them unusable.  I have substituted devices and cables and checked power settings .   All the other USB  and  Thunderbolt ports work with the same cables and devices  reliably. The only advice I get is return the motherboard but this feels like a driver or other configuration  issue to me and i'm concerned that any new motherboard will have the same problems.    Anyone else have or resolved this problem ?

Your motherboard only SUPPORTS 2.5 GB even if you have 10 GB of fiber which is also my case, your PC will only work as MAX 2500 Mb both download and upload. And above all when you installed WINDOWS I suppose you loaded the updated LAN DRIVER, from that moment On the RJ connector of the MOTHERBOARD will be BOTH lit with GREEN color indicating correct connection at 2.5 GB

Hey Miguel I dont what problem you are replying to but it isnt mine.  

I am talking about the 10G USB ports NOT ethernet. If you want 10G ethernet I use the Tplink TX401 card and it works OK  . For 10G fibre if you can find a working 10G Optical NIC card i'd love to know.  I am using a TPlink Be800 which had 10G SFP+  interface but I cant find and they are unable to provide a list of any devices that work with it and I suspect it was a marketing ploy I fell for. 

On the USB 10Gbs problem - Latest Dark Hero 2001 BIOS or windows 11 release 24H2 26100.4202 does seem to have improved things - it no longer crashes on copies to SSD from the 10Gbs ports - but still crashes out on a Samsung Phone directory browse.  

A question  to Asus - you say this  Maximus Dark Hero Z790 has 6 x 10G USB ports but only 4 are listed in the Bios - are you multiplexing or sharing two ?

I have searched the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO motherboard manual and I cannot find anything about those USBs. I will look in my BIOS.

As you can see, it does NOT appear to me..... the 10 that appears to you could be THE TYPE OR VERSION of the USB, as you can see, mine appears to be 32 version 3.2

You have a different motherboard model (Hero not Dark Hero)
