Z790-F - No network connection

Installing WIndows (tried with both 10 and 11) I get no network connection on this motherboard. To get it working it seems I need to have Armoury Crate enabled and do a limited setup of Windows.

Or in other words: What is this **** and how do I fix it? I mean, I can't remember issues like this since Windows 95...

Well, had the same problem like everyone else. Hope my post shows up.

Finally did a fresh install of windows on this new machine and used the above method. Net driver and subsequent installation went fine. Thanks JohnAb and Murph.

It isn't often a Windows install media does not have drivers for either the Ethernet or Wi-Fi devices. I just did a clean install in the Windows Insider program and used an external USB C to Ethernet adapter to get it to install.

I realized there was an add drivers option but did not know where to get drivers that could be loaded in that fashion.

Has anyone else noticed they have removed the Dates from the Driver update pages. Since all they show are the version numbers, possibly they are pushing folks toward the Automatic driver update options?

Yes, I noticed that as well (dates missing) and it's not helpful. I keep a separate list of my driver versions now, so that I can easily compare what is available on the support pages. Armoury Crate is useful for that as well, but sometimes Armoury Crate does not always show the latest available. For example, can get later WiFi (22.190.0.4) and Bluetooth drivers (22.190.0.2) direct from Intel which are not on the support pages or showing in Armoury Crate (yet).
