Hey guys,
I'm gonna build my pc. I got an Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI and an i9 14900K CPU.
On Pc Part Picker it tells me this: 'The Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard supports the Intel Core i9-14900K 3.2 GHz 24-Core Processor with BIOS version 1202. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, updating the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU.'
I knew because of the intel 13th/14th gen problems I would have to update the BIOS.
What I am unsure is which version to update to.
Should I only update to version 1202 or should I update immediately to the latest version. I presume the 'fixes' from previous versions carry over to the newer ones?
I just want to be certain before doing anything.
I would appreciate your help. Thanks

Flash the latest version so that at least microcode 0x12B is installed, which should fix the problems with CPU damage.
I have the same motherboard, so you should flash version 2801.
It also contains all the improvements from the previous versions.
You can do this via BIOS Flashback using a USB stick on the back of the motherboard.
See the motherboard manual for more information.
