z790 Extreme display message Check CPU but boots normally

Just wondering if anybody else experienced this issue. Everything is working fine it is just a message. I replaced CPU,RAM, used different BIOS but message is still there. Asus support said to RMA board but since the whole thing is liquid cooled I don't want to pull everything down just to find out it is only info message. There are no bend pins or anything. I just don't want to find that one day PC will not boot.

It will be great if someone could shed some light on it.

You replaced everything and still have the same message, must be the board itself. I had a similar experience with the extreme board but had a different code. Makes me think the board is bad.

MZ790A Bios 1601, TG FF4D532G8000HC38DDC01, 13900KS, EKWB D5 TBE 300, Corsair 1600i, Asus Strix 4090 w/ Optimus block, Phanteks Enthoo Elite, Asus Claymore 2, Asus Gladius 3, Asus XG349C, Samsung 990, Windows 11 Pro

I went thru everything. What I discovered was that if I disabled 10G port the message was back. Leaving it enabled fixed the issue. The whole system is liquid cooled and I don't really need any downtime. Until I get some response from Asus I'm happy to keep the board.

That is so strange. Glad you got it worked out.

I had everything out of the case. System restarted as normal. I thought that might be a BIOS setting. I thought maybe RAM settings or something more obvious. After recreating issue I confirmed it was 10G port. I use Wi-fi it is plenty fast. The port shows up in windows manager ok. I can live with that. Hopefully it is a bug that can be fixed with bios update.

Yea. I was thinking a bios update might be effective too. Hope that helps eventually.
