Z790-E Unknown Manufacturer SerialPort Driver?

I have an Other Devices -> SerialPort driver. The manufacturer shows Unknown.

I have already tried reinstalling drivers from ARMOURY CRATE and the support page. This doesn't go away. Does anyone else face this issue or know how to resolve this? I was not even able to find the driver anywhere on the Internet.

I suspect i might be related to missing UCM drivers. Try installing MoKiChU's Thunderbolt drivers if you haven't tried that yet.

It didn't work.UCMClient is not present here. When I force-installed it, the device driver didn't start. It had that yellow mark.

For me, the location of the device is on Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator.

Serial devices are normally some type of radio or something like a GPS receiver.  If you plug the device in, the listing may go back to where it belongs.  Just as the Bluetooth headphones may show an other device such as AAP Server.

VR headsets use Bluetooth .  I have not seen such a device on either my Z590 or Z790 machine.

Yes. But if the device is not connected, should it not go away by itself?

I have not yet connected any separate Bluetooth receiver, just the motherboard wireless antenna.

I don't suppose the Device Manager Details tab for the device shows an .inf identifier?

Also, be advised you show a serial port (Com & LPT), which is not normally used in newer installs.  Can you give us a description of that device?  If you select the system at the top of the Device Manger and look in the View option, you can get to the Devices and Printers dialog from there.  This is where Serial Ports are normally set up.

OK, sorry. Not sure what that device is then. You could try installing all of MoKiChU's drivers, you can find a complete list here:

My next best guess would be to try the latest Bluetooth and serial I/O drivers, but just make sure you have everything needed. Just be careful to make sure the drivers you select are correct for your board.

I solved a similar problem with drivers, first I installed the oldest supported driver, then it is necessary to install the newest one and it should be ok.
