Z790 Dark Hero XMP issues

FNU0338
Level 9

Hi,
I just make a setup with :
Intel i9 14900ks (not yet Oc but it will) and 128Go ddr5 corsair CMK64GX5M2X6800C32  6800Mhz (4 sticks of 32Go).

I just updated the bios  to 1402 and tried to enable XMP.
After the reboot it remains stuck with the code 31 (memory installed) for a while and then after a moment (few minutes) it switch for the code 55 (Memory not installed).

What can I do please to fix this and run my ram at 6800Mhz?

Hi @FNU0338

Remove one of the kits. Memory and motherboard vendors do not support combining/mixing memory kits. Please see here for more information

You'll likely ask why it worked before, but if the ME firmware and CPU u-code has changed (and possibly some motherboard auto rules) then it can sometimes break stability. You'll probably find that stability was conditional even on the older BIOS. Bottom line, the kits weren't meant to be overclocked in tandem and are binned by the memory vendor in the density in which they are sold. Please note that XMP is in fact overclocking.

is there any manual settings somewhere that I could apply or good kits supporting XMP 6800 and higher for 128GO?
