Hey guys,
When I started my computer yesterday, my mouse and keyboard were suddenly no longer recognized. They were plugged into the rear panel of my ROG MAXIMUS Z790 DARK HERO. The devices were supplied with power (lit up), but otherwise had no function. After a few reboots, I moved the devices from the 5GB ports (blue) to the 10GB ports (red) and everything worked fine
Does it have to do with the drivers or the BIOS?
I have never flashed my BIOS manually, I usually use Armoury Crate.
Could it help to clear the CMOS?
2 isn't working --- 4, 8 and 10 are working
Greetings
Naddy

Hi!
Well, if they worked and suddenly stopped themselves, then most likely the ASMedia ASM1074 hub failed.
Maybe the problem is with the drivers. Go to the device manager and see what is in the "USB Controllers" item. Remove all devices where you will see the inscription USB 3.0 with the removal of drivers (check the box). Reboot.

There are USB 3.0 ports on the front surface of the case, do they work?

When I had the issue there were Exclamation marks in the device manager. When I wanted to uninstall these the next day, everything worked fine. So idk what actually happened. My colleague (IT-specialist) advised me the same as you did, so I think it's a propper solution. Thank you anyways.
