Z790 Dark Hero [12th Gen] Memory / XMP - Instability issue [solved]

DearNdugu

Cannot load XMP profile due to instability

Backstory:

I recently purchased a new mobo (Z790 Dark Hero) and transferred some existing parks from my 1 year old comp over, including my 12900k CPU and memory which is listed on the QVL (G.Skill DDR5 6000 2x16gb, F5-6000J3238F16GX2-TZ5RK).  I updated BIOS to 1503, installed Windows 11 with full updates, along with Armory Crate to update all other drivers, Intel updates, etc.

BIOS is defaulting to 4000mhz memory frequency. When I enable XMP to 6000mhz, the system reboots to train the memory (I even get a white light on the mobo by the post code), but then the system posts in Safe mode with the instability error, instructing me to press F1 to enter BIOS.

When reverting back to 4000mhz in BIOS, Windows seemingly loads just fine, but seeing the post codes on the mobo jump from numbers between: 29-50.  Everything seems fine and I tested about an hour worth of games with no issues, but this is bugging me and want use the RAM speed as intended and deal with the random post codes.

Is this related to the 13th/14th gen microcode thing?

Z790 Dark Hero, 12900k CPU w/ Arctic AIO cooler, G.Skill DDR5 6000, (2) Samsun 980 Pro SSD, MSI 4090 Suprim Liq X, beQuiet 1500w PSU.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Edit: [solved] misread the manual and slotted my ram in DIMM A1 and B1.  I re-slotted in A2 and B2 and XMP profile works.

In regards to the post codes, I learned that those are CPU temps which list in the Q-code/post code after you boot into OS.  My previos mobo did not do this.
