Z790 Boards + 4090 (e.g. Asus Strix)

Hi,

does someone know if the new 4090 cards will block the second PCIe slot on the e.g. Z790-E Gaming or Z790 Hero boards?

I got the Z790 Hero and my Aorus Master 3080 is already blocking the second pcie 5.0 port, so the 4090 will block it for sure. Just the last one on the bottom 4.0 x16 is accessable.

Yes, it will be obstructed. You would need to fit a water block in order to utilise the second slot.
