Newegg listing November 4th, today:

Did Newegg sell out their known incoming quantity of boards as Pre-Orders in 48hours? OR did they simply change the purchasing status?

Who knows right?

Did anyone grab a pre-order?

To be honest I wonder if there was something wrong with my score? Why was it so much higher than the reference systems?

Nothing wrong with your score... I get something similar (z690-E, 12900k, all stock / no overclock). Screenshot attached.

I think there's something wrong (or something I don't understand) about the CPUZ web page. The comparison scores they show just don't make sense (too low), unless they're testing at lower clocks or something.

OK, I get it, everybody is going to beat my score now, lol. I've gone from happy to depressed 🙂 But, I agree, I think something is wrong with the scoring (at least the reference scores).

Ahh John lol.

The actual multithread score for CPU-Z 13900KS is way over 13000, if all 16Ecores are enabled.

I only have half of mine running 🙂

Haha. OK, as far as the CPU is concerned, you have me licked. I thing we'll have to try a GPU comparison 🙂 Time for bed here, have a great weekend before the grind of work starts again on Monday 😞

This will make you feel better John. My 11600K Rocket Lake i5 6core CPU-Z scores single-thread 639 and multi-thread 4771.

For graphics cards you've got me beat my RTX A2000 12GB workstation card games equivalent to a 980TI, lol.

Hooray, thought I'd win on the GPU lol. I paid rather a lot for it and now it's available for an average of £500 cheaper. Oh well, I had the best available for a few weeks at least. Isn't that always the way... but, it plays everything with power limited to just 60% and I have it set to never go above 65C. I like that, a red hot card would worry me.

It always pays to be patient, but when I get excited I can't stop myself 🙂

All my drivers are from the support page, and bios 0812, I haven't used any of MoKiChU's cool driver packs.

Think my multithread score would be higher if I enabled all 16Ecores, now just running 8 of 16.

And I know 6.0Ghz single-thread gives you a score over 1000 with the 13900KS, I've seen others running with a 6.0Ghz OC. 🙂

When Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs launch later this year, Intel will probably/maybe launch another KS chip. I'm just gonna stay with what I have until Z990 Panther Lake 2025.

Although do want a faster ddr5 A-die mem kit. 🙂

Hey, I can still play Black Mesa and Borderlands 2 at 1440p, lol. that's a good chuckle. 🙂

------

SN850X 1TB has shipped, woohoo! 7300MB/s READS, up from 7000MB/s with the SN850 500GB drive, not much of speed boost but price dropped from $159 down to $99, so grabbed it.

So the SN850 500GB drive goes back (is returned) to the Z590 Apex build. New SN850X 1TB drive for the Z790 Apex - until gen 5 drives launch, then I might mount the SN850X in the DIMM.2 gen 4 riser card and use it as a Project Access and Reference Material drive. 🙂

Already got a buyer for the Intel Optane 280GB 900P Add In Card, he's a coder/programmer for Harris Corporation and willing to pay $300 for a drive from 2017 - cuz they don't make them anymore and he's more interested in system stability than hyperspeeds, lol. Sent him screenshots the Optane drive has 100% LIFE left on it, I take good care of my parts. 🙂

That's excellent. I never get around to selling anything, it's like a 2nd hand shop here. Black Mesa - I remember, an excellent game. I did get a nice gift yesterday though. It's very pointless, but looks great on top of the PC. I think it makes it go just that little bit faster.... it looks great in real life - you can see what the filament looks like in the reflection. It's not super bright, but too much for my phone. It runs off a USB rechargeable battery, so currently making a little stand so I can leave the USB lead plugged in (which comes out of the bottom) 🙂 Spot the dog hairs in the photo - I even cleaned the PC this morning, lol)
