Newegg listing November 2nd and 3rd:

96062

Newegg listing November 4th, today:

96063

Did Newegg sell out their known incoming quantity of boards as Pre-Orders in 48hours? OR did they simply change the purchasing status?

Who knows right?

Did anyone grab a pre-order?

You're a bad influence Bruce. I must not buy anything new for my PC, I must not buy anything new for my PC lol. I'll keep repeating that and hope it works....that NAS I got recently set me back by just over £1,000 including drives lol. If I get a treat then my partner always wants one, so it always costs double lol

Here's the Newegg 13900KS promo code John, if you change your mind lol - BDNW33. 😛

OK,.. here's one for you guys.

Down in the antarctica there's a bunch of penguins floating on an iceberg joking around, one penguin named Tom says I'm going to California tomorrow. All the penguins laugh and say sure Tom lol.

Then next day early in the morning Tom swims way out into the shipping lanes, and grabs onto the side of a container ship heading to California. Tom lands in Cali next day, and get's a cheep beater car, Tom is out cruising,.. and his car breaks down.

So Tom gets his car towed to a shop, and while the shop is looking at his car Tom is standing out front of the shop, he looks up the street and sees an ice-cream truck.

Tom waddles up the street and gets a large vanilla cone, hangs out awhile, finishes his cone. Then decides to go back in the shop and check on his car, see what's up.

Tom waddles into the shop, and looks up at the guy working on his car and asks,.. did you figure out what's wrong with my car?

The guy looks down at Tom, and says,.. looks like you blew a seal.

Tom starts franticly wiping off his face,.. saying no no that's ice cream.

Dood: When I think of the 80s, first thing that comes to mind is boomboxes.

Dooder: Yea well, that’s only a stereo type.

LOL John. Sheesh I've been working a lot. It's so pleasant with fast memory and the 13900KS.

Gonna wait and install the EK 1700 Magnitude block on February 6th along with the "12months water change" for the loop. No issues at all so far using the Mayhems Blitz Kit Part 1 radiator soak for 12hrs before adding the Mayhems X1 clear coolant concentrate mix with distilled water.

These two components if Sir Braegnok missed my last post on the subject, he likes EK parts 🙂
https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-quantum-magnitude-1700-full-nickel
https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-quantum-magnitude-accent-d-rgb

Got them both on sale over the holidays 20%off, now they're full price again - yikes. Wait for an EK Sale (thumbs up)

------

Didn't install a Bitspower drain valve, so I'll drain from the lowest gravitational point in the loop - the D5, and also the lowest of the (8) radiator ports - open that bottom stop cap up.

Will remove the Z790 Apex board and all components before draining so they are out of the way and remain undamaged even though pwr will be off.

Only left with the test bench frame, PSU, and water loop for draining, cleaning-flushing, refilling and bleeding out the air.

Still debating which configuration is more responsive 16Ecores or 8Ecores running in the background, Leaning towards only 8Ecores as slightly faster at least for my work apps. Turning off all 16Ecores seems to slow responsiveness, so at least 8 are doing something beneficial in the background while I'm working. 🙂

If you're running heavily threaded apps, then it's obvious your system will benefit by leaving all the Ecores ON.

Yet if like me, you're using single or very slightly-threaded apps then it's worth experimenting to find out just how many Ecores (if any) will help get your work completed faster OR your games loading faster performing smoother.

I have a Z790 Apex running Hynix 7600 A-die at 8000 34 46 46 121 1.5v with a 13900KS running at stock.

OK, guess I'll see you guys for Z990 chipset and Panther Lake in 2025. Be Good! 🙂

Indeed, that may well be the perfect time for my upgrade too. I'll see how this one is at the time and then decide. If still working nice, I might even keep it a bit longer, lots of time to make my mind up - unless you tempt me into doing it with your new Panther Lake high speed setup and tales of joy lol
