Newegg listing November 2nd and 3rd:

96062

Newegg listing November 4th, today:

96063

Did Newegg sell out their known incoming quantity of boards as Pre-Orders in 48hours? OR did they simply change the purchasing status?

Who knows right?

Did anyone grab a pre-order?

2x24GB kits are binned at different voltages. Gskill also announced 8200 2x24GB XMP kits not yet available.

------

All I know is the cool guys over at OCN had these results stable:

8000 2x16 kit - 8200, 8400, 8600, 8800

8000 2x24 kit - 8200, 8400 only.

Got the 8000 2x16 kit since I'm terrible at ddr5 overclocking and need all the help I can get. The 2x16 kit gives you that glorious 8200 CL36 simple click stable profile (with bios 904) and 8200 CL34 probably simple for most users only difficult in my hands - still got it stable though. 😐IMG_2270s.JPG

I have some friends in Taipei at Computex 2023, they have a guide taking them shopping for DDR5 8200 MT/s kits tonight.

They have been there for three days, checking local shops with no luck,.. so they hired a guide to check Taiwan shops for high-bin 8200 memory kits. Hopefully they score, and it's legal to bring back into US if claimed at preflight/boarding. 😊

If it's available, it will be in Taipei. Nice one 🤞

So Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs are going to need more voltage and improved power stages VRM, so that's how the mobo makers are spinning the need for new Z790 boards?

OK, new boards are always welcome especially ROG 2dimm boards, give us more choices please!

Apex Extreme 2dimm, yea 😁

Wonder how Mr. Hopper's 13900KS IHS lapping turned out?

EKWB offers a flat cold-plate for the Magnitude block I'm using if I lap my 13900KS. 20% off right now.

Didn’t see a huge difference. Maybe a few degrees C improvement. I haven’t installed the contact frame so that might have shave off a degree or 2 as well at most.

Haven’t had time to look at temps in the last few days. Busy at work. I might run cinebench again and check those temps.

Do you feel the thermal benefits are a good trade-off with losing your 3yr warranty?

Not that anything's going to go wrong with you CPU. 😁

Not worried about the warranty to be honest. Being the hardware nut that I am, I am always buying the next best thing anyway. I think I have good company around here. 😁

Yep, you are in good company Mr. Hopper. 😄

I lost my RTX A2000 12GB 3yr warranty - 3times the charm. 🤣

Had to get it quiet, isolated the small fan at 7mounting points, with even smaller sorbothane custom cut washers.  👍

Testing the isolated fan within the fan housing for noise before reassembling the video card.
