Newegg listing November 2nd and 3rd:

96062

Newegg listing November 4th, today:

Did Newegg sell out their known incoming quantity of boards as Pre-Orders in 48hours? OR did they simply change the purchasing status?

Who knows right?

Did anyone grab a pre-order?

Thank you Carlyle2020.

Amazing SSD data for all ROGers. +1 +1 +1

I'm staying with a 1TB drive for gen 5 SSD, since my work files are quantitatively small.

Here's my EKWB 1700 water block image for installation tomorrow 😛

Saw your water block, looks really nice, good quality. Congrats. Nice boots recommendation too 🙂

I just ran a CPU-Z benchmark for the first time and not sure if I'm missing something, but very happy with the results - see image. Maybe that's why I feel so happy with this PC....

John, how did you get that score? That's not a 12900K at stock. lol

And how did you get that GUI? Did you run the test online? Doesn't look like my CPU-Z download at all. I like yours better, want to run my 13900KS with it.

I downloaded the latest CPU-Z which is 2.03 x64 (the ROG portable version). Fire it up and then select the 'Bench' tab. Then click on 'Bench CPU' and once finished, select 'Submit & Compare'. The screenshot was from the web page it takes you to. Would love to know how your score compares...

Hey guys just bought a Z790 apex and to my surprise, the board came naked no anti-static bag, and the printed user-guide booklet is missing? This cant be normal the guide is very usefull when installing the card.

Yep, that's normal. The molded anti-static plastic top, remove that and there's the Apex sitting in anti-static cardboard? Or maybe just regular cardboard. lol

Here's the manual and bios guide and installation if you need it:

https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-z790-apex-model/helpdesk_manual/

And of course the Declaration of Conformity which I've read in every language and yet it didn't change me at all - I'm still the same.

Congratulations on the Z790 Apex, you must not be in North America, we can't buy the board until next month.

Can't remember about the bag, but I didn't get a manual either with my 690 - you can download the PDF guides from the motherboard support pages though...

OK, for single-thread I got 913 and multithread 12847. But CPU-Z read the CPU at only 5.6Ghz not 6.0Ghz and I have no overclock on the 13900KS and 8 of 16 Ecores turned off.

Believe single-thread should be closer to 1000 if it reads the processor those two favored cores running at 6.0Ghz

Grrr, you beat me. Not a surprise 🙂 🙂 Mind you, I'm not that far behind I suppose. To be honest I wonder if there was something wrong with my score? Why was it so much higher than the reference systems? I won't run it again, because if it's wrong, I'd rather not know and right now I'm still really pleased. I've been spending some time upgrading every driver on my system to the very latest using MoKiChU's driver packs. He does an amazing job for us ROG folks. Everything still working super good.
