Newegg listing November 2nd and 3rd:

96062

Newegg listing November 4th, today:

Did Newegg sell out their known incoming quantity of boards as Pre-Orders in 48hours? OR did they simply change the purchasing status?

Who knows right?

Did anyone grab a pre-order?

Thanks hardware brother. lol

Never had an 8core before, hoping stock idle thermals are not crazy high. Not certain why I'm worried about that so much.

Does your 12900KS idle high at stock settings?

------

EK direct die looks insane! Another Special Edition, Man that is SEXY - WOW! Are you getting one? lol 😉

You should be fine with your cooling solution running default settings, no need to worry.

My 12900KS idle temps are 22-24c across all cores running default settings, during normal usage, light loads with same EK V2 block you have.

Be sure to use the 0.6Nm Torque Screwdriver when mounting your water block, or assembling any EK water blocks. https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-loop-torque-screwdriver-0-6nm

Yes sir, I ordered the new special edition block, they are only releasing 100.

LOL!

Congratulations that EKWB SE Direct block is righteous brother! How low can your thermals go? lolol 😛

I only want to run the 13900KS at stock with XMP and mem kit overclocks. So was hoping stock idle thermals would be like the 13600K 24C 25C 26C on a warm day AC running and 21C 22C 23C when its cool/cold outside like now.

Hoping I can reach Thermal Velocity Boost with my short loop - 6.0 2cores short burst as a daily would be sweet, but I'll be happy with 5.9 lol

I'll grab that torque driver, thanks brother! 5minutes later! OK, that EK torque driver is on the way. (thumbs up emoticon) 🙂

Braegnok bro, I'm not running an EK V2. I'm using the Magnitude 1700 block.

So that EK torque driver is irrelevant for my build. Thanks for the happy thoughts though. lol 😛

YES absolutely, Apex does not have Thunderbolt "on board" or the rear I/O lighting display like the Hero, yet you should be able to overclock your 7200 kit to 7600 and maybe 7800 stable. And it's white instead of black. 🙂

In the US the Apex is $70USD more than the Hero. 🙂

Congratulations new ROG brother, when you get the Apex, come back and we'll help you overclock your 7200 kit - it's not hard at all with the Apex. 🙂
