Newegg 10days ago listed Z790 Apex as "back in stock" on January 4th 2023 - this week.

Yet has since removed that date. So who knows, maybe today the 1st day after the holidays, business will return to normal and a new "Availability Date" will be posted.

Congratulations to everyone who has already received a new Apex board - I've counted 1pre-order period and only 3single days of availability so far, and each of those days the Apex sold out within a few hours. When you can actually buy them again, hopefully this week, the Z790 Apex is going to sell FAST.

No issues that I've heard of at all. 😮

I'm using Bios 0809, and it's pure heaven.

Best motherboard I've ever owned! Go ROG! And thank you once again! Absolutely LOVE my Z790 Apex.

why has this thread been abandoned? I still have my 790 apex sitting here waiting on me to have enough time to put together my new build. I enjoy hearing what all issues/solutions you guys come across .

Z790 Apex was available to purchase yesterday Jan 4 at Newegg US. The batch sold out in a few hours "as expected" and those boards will ship out tomorrow Jan 6.

You would love the new Apex ROG brother, although every motherboard looks much better mounted on a test bench imho. lol 🙂

Z990 and Panther Lake (my next upgrade) won't be arriving until 2025, so I'm settling in for an extended love affair with Raptor Lake and the Z790 Apex.

Needed to update my EK CPU block from 115x to 1700, so went ahead and color-matched the new water block to the Z790 Apex, which is mostly white silver and mirror finish.

This water block and white lighting accent from EK. They arrived and are brilliant, yet not swapping out my 115x black and plexi block until the 13900KS arrives next week. These EK parts look amazing in photos with white Bitspower fittings, but photos don't seem to work right now in the ROG forum...

I've only ever ran 4core and 6core processors, never owned an 8core. So decided to treat myself to something nice - the Intel 13900KS i9 high bin.

3770K > 6700K > 6800K > 8700K > 8086K > 11600K > 13600K >>> 13900KS

Most honorable gentleman over at OCN with a Gskill 8000 mem kit and Z790 Apex running the mem kit at 8800MT/s CL36 1.54v stable on air with bios 0078.

8800 MHz is awesome. What makes the Apex different to other 790 boards? I know you've got to 8000. I'm seeing Extreme owners here with several issues. The Apex just seems to work for some reason, maybe because it has only 2 DIMM slots and the architecture is different somehow? Perhaps BIOS optimisation will solve all issues.

Saw your water block, that's impressive and very shiny. Should look amazing, even if you can't see that fantastic 13900KS hidden below (when it arrives) lol.

I think my upgrade path has been 80286, 80386, Pentium 4, i9-4770K, i9-9900K and currently i9-12900K. In fact, I still have a 386 now, but it hasn't been turned on for 15 years. How time flies. I still just about remember DOS and Windows 3.1/3.2.

Oh by the way, I started a thread asking for overclocking advice on my 5200 memory, but nobody has answered yet. Do you any idea how far I could push it, if at all? Only for the fun of course, my machine is fast enough for everything I do anyway.
