Hello,
just flashed the new bios 3001 , loaded default settings, and everything run fines, ...except that you cannot see SATA and NVME details ( you see empty for sata, and not found in nvme).
but in boot section, you see your bootable partition correctly.
once you saved, windows starts fine and no problem so far.
I went back to the bios, but still not seeing them.
anyone else see the same behavior ?

In the boot menu (F8), only the NVME or hard drive you want to boot from, or where the Windows Boot Manager is located, should appear.
All other data storage devices should actually be visible in the first window (EZ Mode) of the UEFI, where you land when you enter the UEFI:
Otherwise, the only solution is to reset the UEFI (usually using the F5 key) to load the factory settings, and then all data storage devices should be there again.
Make sure that Intel Rapid Storage is not active if it was previously disabled.
However, the WindowsBootManager must be configured for booting, not a hard drive. The Windows Boot Manager points to the hard drive where Windows is located.
What does your UEFI look like, or what is displayed on the right once you enter the UEFI?
If your Windows was installed in UEFI mode, i.e., GPT partition scheme, CSM should also be disabled, etc.
Here are a few screenshots from my PC:

If something was set differently in your UEFI before the update, it was reset by the update and you will have to set it again, otherwise booting or accessing the other data storage devices will not work, as you have noticed.

To be more clear : i have 2 nvme and 1 SSD, and they are all present in windows 11.
They are just noticed listed in bios.
Previous bios 2801 shows them.

Im using z790 hero and i updated today and i have same issue, they update the nvme firmware, maybe its connected with that, they are all presented in windows, but i cant find option for boot device order in bios

I have 4 NVME and 2 SATA HDDs installed, and all are present in the UEFI and also in Windows.
It seems to be stuck somewhere else.
Check in the UEFI to see if Intel Rapid Storage was accidentally enabled after the UEFI update.
If you had previously disabled it (it's actually standard), it should be disabled now as well.
It's possible that this is why the hard drives aren't detectable in Windows.
However, it shouldn't be related to the NVME firmware, as everything was running fine for you before the UEFI update.
The "Windows Boot Manager" should appear in the UEFI boot area, not any hard drive/NVME.
Otherwise, simply reset the UEFI to factory settings and see if your data storage devices appear again.
You can then adjust your settings in the UEFI again.

They are presented in windows, they are missing in boot menu in bios, i literally doesnt see anything there, i have 2 nvme ,1 ssd and 2 hd.
If you check this article from Asus : https://www.asus.com/uk/support/faq/1053205/
I dont see any boot options in bios menu ( last screenshot) under boot option priorities
Update : After another restart i can see now the OS nvme is presented there , but i cant see any other device in boot options menu ,basically i cant disable them if i want to from bios.In Bios EZ mode i can see all are presented, but in advanced - boot options i can see only the OS nvme and nothing else.Rapid storage is OFF in bios

Thanks for the the info and screenshots mate, but i think maybe you misunderstood me.Can you check the link i send from asus Faq - https://www.asus.com/uk/support/faq/1053205/ , check last 3 screenshots. I think all available nvme,hd, ssd should be presented there as boot option 1,2,3,4,5 so you can change the order and also so you can disable the port from bios. This was working on previous bios. There should be a option where you can find all presented drives and change order/ disable the port if needed. On EZ mode i can see its same like yours, but i cant change order or disable them from there, basically i see the same as you in the screenshots.I see only boot option 1 and no more and there is only the OS Nvme

So, for me, I only see the bootable NVMe drive, which also has Windows on it. All other storage devices don't appear there. But that's always been the case since I got the PC (October 2023).
Only hard drives that can be booted from should be visible there.
Why do you want to see all storage devices in the boot menu if you can't or don't want to boot from them?
Up to which UEFI were you able to see all storage devices, as described in the FAQ?

Hello, in fact that we try to explain, is that nvme are not listed in nvme menu in bios, and sata drive are not listed in pch storage menu in bios.
But all are present, run fine, are used by computer, and are present in windows.
We can not see them in smart menu in bios .
Inge70, as it seems displaying correctly on your side, could you share your motherboard and your bios version?
Ps: on reddit, one another person has the same issue after flashed bios on 19/05, on Z790-e gaming wifi

The main motherboard is listed in my signature, which appears under every post.
It's an Asus TUF Z790-F Gaming WIFI and has had the latest UEFI 3001 since yesterday.
