Z690E and 1103 BIOS

Just built a new system with Z690E. Running 32G Kingston 6000 memory, Samsung 2 x 980 Pro's, and i7. Really no problems to report until I did the 1003 update. The machine would not boot. It would stop at the BIOS screen that said due to long press of power switch the machine cannot continue to boot. The only way I can trick it into booting was to go into the BIOS and exit without saving settings. Then it would boot but on a reboot the same thing would happen. I downgraded to the 0811 BIOS and everything seems to work fine again.

I am hearing many BIOS related issues with Z690 in general. Any idea what is happening here?

Thanks in advance.

It seems the official bios is still version 1003. It looks like 1103 is a beta? Or did you mean 1003? 1003 is around since January, and seems to be very stable for most users.

I meant 1003, not 1103. From the other threads, it seems that almost everyone is downgrading to an 8.x version BIOS.
