I have the Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming WIFI D4 and have always been concerned about the PCH temperature and lack of efficient heatsink.
When idle I'm getting around 63c-69c. This seems pretty common yet is the highest temp in my PC even when gaming ! (3080ti video card max 60c and processor roughly the same. Close inspection shows the PCH is badly located right under the back end of the video card exhaust and also covered in white plastic that forms the video card eject mechanism !.
Anyone managed to get this temp down without massive modification of their board ?
