Z690 Hero ERP WHEA-Logger Event ID 1 error!

Finally figured out the cause.

I have a wierd Windows 11 Hardware error caused by ASUS ERP Ready Setting (S4+S5)
When I set it to this, there is a 100% chance of getting WHEA-Logger Event ID 1 in the event viewer from a COLD Boot Only.

Not sure how much this pertains but,
the Event ID Tracks to svhost.exe Host Process for Windows Services
I wonder if I am the only one that can re create this error in windows 11.

It does not seem to cause any meaningful issue.

Strix Z690-A, same issue, had this PC for 8 days now, didn't have this error until 3 days ago only. Let me know if you found a fix.

Edit: The error is not really caused by having S4+S5 on, if you disable it you wont get that error but if you turn off and on the powerswitch on the back of the PSU, you will get this error again, at least from my testing.

I can see this error in my event viewer too. Last one about a week ago. Other than that i can see some e2fexpress warnings related to ethernet drivers and nhi errors related to thunderbolt which i dont use...

System (Z690 Hero +12900K) seems to be working normally. No BSODs or lockups .

If you mean:

The description for Event ID 27 from source e2fexpress cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V

The system cannot find the file specified

I have it as well after installing the Intel LAN drivers from the Asus website for my motherboard, if you go to device manager and uninstall it and let windows find the driver for it then it should be gone. Not sure why the drivers from asus causing this warning but windows drivers works fine for me so far.

I just found these errors too in my event viewer. Just like you said it is very consistent occurring every morning when I start my pc for work around 8am. A restart does not cause this as I have tried a few times. I did not know this was caused by the ERP setting, and I can confirm I did eabled ERP for S4+S5.

Yesterday I installed the Intel ME Version 16.0.15.1735 update, downloaded from the support page of my board TUF GAMING H670-PRO WIFI D4. Whea Error Event Logs 1 has ceased to appear

Wow how weird, I don't have ERP enabled however I only posted the other day about 1 single WHEA error on first boot I kept getting recently and now after installing the latest ME Firmware on Asus's download page for my Strix Z690 Gaming A now the error has ceased to appear, Have booted 5 or so times already now and not 1 error, How weird it started randomly and now this new ME Firmware has now fixed it lol.

In the last month I have had this same issue on my z590. I had tried everything I could think of to no avail. Saw this thread and thought, sure why not. I reflashed the same ME firmware that I had flashed some while back. No more whea at boot now. Yay.
