So ive had my pc for some days now, and suddnely it just black screened when i turned it on. And error code 55 came up.

I have found the issue and its the last ram slot i think. I am only running it with 1 ram stick currently in slot 2 and it works. Does anyone know how to fix this problem ? I want to have 32gb of memory again. Please help a newbie.

Ok great.

Clean off the cpu and the water block first with a tissue or toilet paper and a little isopropyl alcohol, don't use a paper towel.

Install the cpu, then apply a thin even layer of thermal paste to the cpu, I use an old credit card to spread the thermal paste.

When installing the water block, make the mounting screws just snug, don't overtighten the water block.

Thank you for that.

Try this...

1) Shut down your pc and turn off the power supply switch.

2) Install the second memory stick in the B2 slot, which is the fourth memory slot from the cpu.

3) Press and hold the Clear Cmos button for 3 seconds.

4) Try booting up your pc.

The clear cmos button is on the I/O panel, I marked it with a red box.

It is installed in the b2 slot and the second one from cpu, the b2 slot was the one i removed. So the first slot and the third slot is not taken now.

How many memory sticks do you have?

For Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 32GB, I see only 2x16GB which is two memory sticks. So, slots 1 and 3 won't be used.

I know, i have only 2. 1 is in slot 2 and the other one is in slot 4. but when i had the last one in slot 4 it says error, but when i took it out it worked. So i need help to whats causing this.
