Z690 Formula Boot issues

I recently upgraded motherboards from ddr4 Z690 TUF to Z690 Formula DDR5. I would also like to note i added a thermal grizzly contact frame. When i boot i get a ton of different codes. CPU codes Memory codes VGA codes HDD codes. After i force shutdown then start it back up the PC will let me open bios. From there i can force boot windows and the PC runs flawlessly. Whats the issue? I updated all drivers and BIOS. Reseated RAM and all connections. Went through and made sure the contact from and cpu cooler wasnt tightened too tight. Not sure what to do here.

Hello uhlock

Since you didn't specify, one thing I have to ask is...

When you upgraded motherboards, did you do a fresh windows install?

In the bios, is the first boot device set correctly and does it show "Windows Boot Manager" in front of your ssd?

I did not do a fresh install of windows. However boot option 1 is set to windows boot manager. Do you think a clean install of windows would fix the issue?

Yes, you always want to do a fresh windows install when upgrading motherboards because of driver incompatibility.

I feel certain a fresh windows install would fix the issue.
