Z690-F cannot detect GPU

Hi all,

I am facing a similar problem as the OP here: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/intel-700-600-series/z690-f-not-detecting-gpu/td-p/906197, where the thread was closed without the problem being solved.  

 I upgraded my PC with a new MB, CPU, RAM, and PSU yesterday. The GPU comes from the old build. The OS is newly installed. The GPU lights up and the fans are running when the PC is powered up. But both the screens cannot find any connection when plugged into the GPU, either with HDMI or DP. The GPU however still works fine on the old build. When trying to manually install the drivers or the GeForce Experience app, I got a message, that no GPU is detected. I have changed the BIOS setting, such that the primary display is PCIE, but to no avail. 

I have tried different power cables and different slots in the PSU, but this seems not to be an issue either. The GPU sits firmly and is locked in the PCIe slot. I have simply no idea what else can be wrong... Any suggestions?

I've seen a few reports of no display, but without spending time searching forums, I don't have a quick answer. However, from the image, it does look like your GPU has a little bit of sag. Have you tried supporting the GPU to be sure that contact is being properly made? I am a bit confused though, because you do seem to have the display working OK in the BIOS?

I remember somebody having a similar issue and they had to use a standard resolution 60Hz monitor to get an image and from there they managed to change settings and get everything working.

When on my desk, the PC is laid down on a side, the open side facing upwards, so the sag you see shouldn't be an issue I think. 

I am using the CPU integrated graphics.

Did you update BIOS to the latest one on that board yet?

The motherboard might be flashed with old one, especially the z690 chip based, which does not support that CPU.
