Z690 Extreme and Glacial Internal Thunderbolt Port ???

I thought it was interesting that both the Extreme/Glacial boards have an internal Thunderbolt port, as opposed to putting 2 Thunderbolt ports on the Rear I/O Panel like the Hero board has. Does anyone have any idea what the internal Thunderbolt port would be used for ...... or even how or what to connect it up to?

Hey ... I have the same question ... my new Corsair 7000D case has nothing to plug into it. How does ASUS plan on its being used?

I just bought a Thunderbolt extension cable and wired it to under my case so I'd have a front thunderbolt 4 port
