Hey there,

Is anyone tried new 2602 BIOS for Z690?

Any difference compared to 2204, 2305 or 2403?

I just read your post and thought you'd made a typo, but yep, BIOS 2602 is available. Not sure That I dare try it yet, does anybody know if rolling back to a previous version is possible. No indication that it's not, but based on previous experience, maybe it is, maybe it isn't!

Z690 Hero, 12900K, BIOS 4301, MEI 2512.7.3.0, ME Firmware 16.1.35.2557, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 23H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.

Just flashed 2602, everything seems OK so far. Temps OK, power consumption same as before, no WHEA errors. Early days, but seems fine. Will update if I see anything strange.

Same where. I will run more test during the night and tomorrow with the heat.

What i did see: Chipset temps on z690 apex drops from 60C to 56C   The part of the ram i will adress it soon I know what to do but i will start conducting the test next week, i will make a post to take the most amount of measurements with all here and discord since i know why.

The OC is ok. I have not have a bsod since day 1. i am ok with it. i use per usage 12700kf 52/52/51/51/51/51/50/50 and 40 on ecores at 1.30 v  since i learn how to read it , i did have a good profesor.  there is more on that. Since my ram can do to 6200mhz with nothing aside change the frg 6000 to 6200, i will test that tomorrow.

I am ok with the bios.

The new red logo is nice touch once day i want to see a animated with sound like laptops

What new red logo?

Preparing for 14900KS upgrade ......

No change in PCH temps for me, but I also like the red logo on the boot screen, that's a nice touch. As far as I can tell, 2602 is working fine, but then again I only have slow RAM and never had a problem with previous BIOS versions. Just a reminder, update MEI drivers and ME firmware according to the support page for your board (in that order) before updating the BIOS.

How does the red logo looks like?

Wanted to update the BIOS. But held back due to past experience when I had to lower the DDR5 Ram speed to 4,600Mhz from 5,600Mhz. I am running 4 channels with 128GB RAM in total.
