Try using a FAT32 formatted USB stick for the BIOS file and use EZFlash 3. Also, unpack the BIOS file using Winrar, not Windows. That has worked for some people before.

If still no luck, try downloading the BIOS file again. It could be corrupted.

Z690 Hero, 12900K, BIOS 4001, MEI 2433.6.3.0, ME Firmware 16.1.35.2557, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 23H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.

I updated the bios via fat32 stick inserted behind the motherboard via ez flash it tells me that the bios has been successfully installed but then it does not start it gets to check all the red white red leds and it freezes on the green (b4) and then start again I disconnected all the sockets usb reset cmcos removed battery expected, nothing immobile and stable only and exclusively with 813/816 does not accept any other bios I have never seen such a thing in my life an operation among the simplest has become a nightmare I need the last bios for the compatibility of ddr5 rams as it does not accept xmp rams at 7200 but only at most at 6600 on a 13900k hallucinating problems not ending this motherboard

Did you unpack the BIOS file using Winrar? If you did and also tried downloading it again, then I don't know. Did you also try EZFlash 3?

I'll try later now I'll have tried 1000 times, can I go directly from 816 to the latest version?

As far as I know, yes. Good luck.

In the meantime I thank you since in the entire community of this forum someone has deigned at least to answer me

Don't take it personally. Getting a response (or not) can be a bit random. Most questions do get a response, but sometimes it takes a few days.

By the way, also try a complete power at the PSU for a few minutes if you have any further BIOS issues. I don't know why for sure, but sometimes that has helped people as well.

Nothing to do unfortunately, formatted the stick in fat32 used flash ez 3 used win rar, installed correctly says the system will be restarted, restart charge the various control leds arrives at the white led then green 98/99 b4 and returns to the red led and repeats the cycle, tried to reset cmcos disconnected power for 15 minutes tried again, nothing just wants (813/816) really embarrassing in 2024 such a situation I have been more than 20 years that I assemble pc and I have never seen anything like it again an asus card

Sorry, then I don't know what the problem is. Maybe try and contact Asus support and see if they can assist you...
