I have an Asus z690 E Gaming Wifi motherboard. I am running Server 2022 so I have to do a manual install of the ethernet drivers using the "Have disk" method.
When I am installing the driver, I am giving the following options:
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (2) I225-IT
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (2) I225-LM
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (2) I225-LMvP
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-IT
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-LM
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-LMvP
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I225-LM
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I226-IT
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I226-LM
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I226-LMvP
Intel(R) Ethernet NetworkAdapter I225-T1
Intel(R) Ethernet NetworkAdapter I226-T1
Killer E3100 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Controller
Killer E3100X 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Controller
Killer E3100X 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (2)
Killer E3102 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Controller
Which one should I pick? The only thing relevant I can find in the manual is that my motherboard has an Intel I225-V 2.5Gb Ethernet controller.
I have been using the Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (2) I225-IT, however, I get random disconnects at times, according to the Windows log (however, I have yet to experience one myself while using the computer).
Thanks.

Hello anubis2k9
You could download the latest LAN driver from the ASUS Support Center and put it on a usb flash drive.

@Nate152 - I'm confused as to which driver is the latest...
Intel i225/i226 LAN NDIS driver V1.1.4.38 for Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11 64-bit has a date of 2023-11-06 (1st listed download) and Intel i225/i226 Driver V2.1.3.3 for Windows 11 64-bit has a date of 2023-03-21 (2nd group of downloads).
A couple of days ago, I downloaded and installed V1.1.4.38 - 2023-11-06 (the latest date). It seemed to work, but when I checked the drivers section of Amory Crate, it listed it as outdated, and it installed V2.1.3.3 - 2023-03-21 from the 2nd listed download. Although V2.1.3.3 is a higher version number than V1.1.4.38, it is an older driver.
Which one should I install: the higher version yet older date, of the lower version with the newest date?

Thank you. I did do that, but as I outlined in my OP, I can't use the installer because I'm running Server 2022. I have to go through the Device Manager -> Properties -> Update Driver -> Browse My Computer for Drivers -> Let me pick from a list of available Drivers -> Have Disk -> Browse to the driver INF file
At which point I am given a list of drivers to choose from above. I was inquiring as to which one would be optimal for my computer, with my given motherboard listed in my OP (Asus z690 E Gaming Wifi).
Thanks.

All right,
So, you have to choose from a list which driver to install, and I'm not sure exactly which one it would be, but maybe we can narrow it down. You can try the three drivers that have the (3).
I'm using the ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming Wifi, I don't install a LAN driver, windows installs one automatically.
Taking a look at mine, it has a driver with (3), you could try each of the three drivers with a (3), whichever one doesn't work just uninstall it.

I'd go with the one with the latest date outlined in red. - 2023/11/06
Try it and let us know how it's working for you.

As I said in my post, it seemed to work. It's just that Amory Crate says it's outdated.

Well, since Armoury Crate is saying it's outdated, I suppose you could update it through Armoury Crate.
It should work fine too.
