As the name suggests, it's a firmware update for the add-in card bundled with some SKUs. The card is cross-compatible with all SKUs

The description is very vague, it doesn't really explain order of updates or what if actually does. There are two updates for Windows with the same description and changelog but different version, both stated to be firmware.

Who does description like that? AI bot? 😀
How it went thru screening for customer communication?

It states it's a firmware update tool, which it is. It then says it updates compatibility. Not sure there's any need for a term paper in this case 😉. However I will agree that adding it to the support site for SKUs that do not ship with the card may be somewhat confusing.
