video card not present on ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-I GAMING WIFI

Guys, I need your assistance with an issue related to a newly purchased graphics card — Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 Ti WindForce OC.My system is based on an ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-I GAMING WIFI (LGA1700, DDR5) motherboard.Previously, I used a Gigabyte RX 6700 XT Gaming OC, which has always worked flawlessly in this system and continues to operate without any issues when reinstalled. After installing the new RTX 5070 Ti, the system fails to output any video signal. The motherboard’s POST indicator gets stuck on the GPU stage. In the BIOS, the PCIe x16 slot shows “Not Present”, meaning the motherboard does not detect the card at all. Here is what I have already tried:Updated the BIOS to the latest version available, manually forced PCIe modes (Gen 3 / Gen 4 / Gen 5)Enabled and disabled CSMPerformed a CMOS reset, verified all power connections (both 12VHPWR and dual 8-pin through the included adapter)Confirmed sufficient PSU capacity (1000W), Reinstalled the GPU multiple times, Confirmed several times that the graphics card is fully and correctly seated in the PCIe x16 slotDespite all these steps, the system still does not detect the GPU. Both the integrated graphics and my older Gigabyte RX 6700 XT work immediately and without any issues in the same PCIe slot.Could you please advise on further diagnostics or confirm whether this behavior may indicate a defective graphics card?Thank you in advance.

Hi @MrJabka

I would return the GPU to the place of purchase, in this case. It does appear that this is the issue. Only thing you can do on your side is test the card in an alternative machine.

Hi, I’m back with an update. Try this vga in other pc with am5 gigabyte motherboard, vga works fine. Try 4070 on my mb, works fine too,  but 5070ti didn’t work 😞

Make sure the 5070 vBIOS is on the latest version.

Make sure the motherboard BIOS is on the latest version.

Install the 4070 and go into the UEFI, set the PCIE16_1 lane speed to GEN3

See if this helps.
