Hello.
The AiOverclock function with 13th and 14th generation processors has not finished working well. After Intel tried to correct the instability with microcode patches for the BIOS, I wanted to know if it works well now.
To sum up:
Does AiOverclock work for you with the latest BIOS 1801?
I have an I7 14700K CPU and I can't get the system to boot if I activate it.

i dont know what you mean that it was not finished but it was working way before the microcode issues were even talked about.
if your talking about AI oc not being stable then you need to make tweaks to get it stable or lowering the optimism value in ai oc so its less of an overclock.
but the microcode will work with AIOC so the cpu wont over request on voltage in single threaded scenarios.

But if AI Oc does the overclocking automatically, I shouldn't have to change any settings. It doesn't seem like AI Oc is that smart.
I just know, that if I enable it, I get a nice BSOD screen. But out of curiosity I'll try to see how it behaves if I set it to the worst case scenario.
Thanks.

overclocking is no guarentee. just because you have a decent chip doesnt mean you will be able to hit those higher clocks. but youll probably be able to high stock clocks with lower voltage. each chip is different. which is why when it comes to overclocking there is no easy way to do it.

Yes, I know.
I've been playing with overclocking for over 20 years. But I thought that the AI Oc function did the job automatically by adjusting all the parameters based on the system's heatsink capacity.
I've tried with the different BVID settings, intel's safe, worst case, auto, trained and with all of them the system crashes on startup. I've also seen that it dangerously approaches 1.75v
That's why I'm asking if you know if the AI Oc function works.
I can't get it to work with the default settings by playing with just the BVID type.
Thanks
