Update BIOS required for z790-E II

I manually locked my PC and left it for about an hour and upon returning, I moved the mouse and clicked to turn back on the screen. This would normally work when I've done it after shorter periods I might add - but on this occasion it failed and I had to press the power button on the PC to turn it off and back on again.

I checked power management, and everything necessary to keep the PC 'running but in a state of sleep in this situation' is set , i.e. the hard disks are set to never turn off, 'allow this device to turn on the computer' is set for all devices, etc.

Was advised this on Copilot:

Could be a number of reason but..
"Might need a
BIOS Update: An outdated BIOS can cause various system instabilities, including wake-from-sleep issues"
Was advised a list of tasks in a process of elimination, and the BIOS definitely needs to be looked at.

Saw that the BIOS hasn't had an update available since May 2025 for the z790-E II:

I'm reaching out to support to provide the latest BIOS for this motherboard if possible and if not deprecated. Please let me know, thanks.

you should update your bios anyway. 0x12F is part of the degredation prevention.
