I have a need to add more sata ports to my rig. I bought a pci-e sata expansion card, but it's not "seen" by the motherboard. The board lights up and indicates what ports I'm attached to, but the MB doesn't see the drives attached to it. I thought it might have something to do with needing to enable the CSM module, but I'm using this PC as a media server and need to take advantage of quicksync related to the CPU graphics (and I can't turn on CSM with integrated graphics). Any ideas what I can do for the board to see this expansion card?
